RESEARCH PROCEDURES: This research is being conducted to study the economics of decision-making. Unless otherwise notified, this experiment will last up to 120 minutes. In addition to the minimum of $7 for showing up on time and participating, you will be paid based upon your decisions and the decisions of others who are in the experiment. You are free to ask any questions about how you will be paid. Your salient earnings can only be paid upon completion of the experiment. If you agree to participate you will be asked to make decisions at a terminal in a computer laboratory. RISKS: There are no foreseeable risks or discomforts. BENEFITS: There are no direct personal benefits for participation. PARTICIPATION: You must be 18 or over to participate. Your participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw from the study at any time and for any reason. There are no costs to you or any other party. There are also no effects of participating or not participating in this study on your grade. CONFIDENTIALITY: All electronic files will be saved confidentially on the ESI password-protected and access-restricted local area network. No person-identifiable information will be reported in any published or unpublished work. The data is protected in the local area network as secured by the Chapman University login procedures. Access is restricted to the professors and trained graduate students associated with the Economic Science Institute.
